Our Story

Salty Spaces was born from a vision to create a workspace that transcends the conventional. Inspired by the dynamic spirit of the Sunshine Coast and the allure of the coastal lifestyle, we set out to craft an environment where work feels invigorating and connections flourish.

Matt Barmentloo is the proud founder and owner of Salty Spaces, as well as a resident in the space. I am also a husband and father to 2 kids.

My goal with Salty Spaces is to build a vibrant, energetic and positive coworking space where members love to be at, love to socialise with each other but then also be able to lock into their work and get it done.

Matt is the founder and managing director of Cultured Group, which is an innovative VCFO and bookkeeping firm, fueled by a desire to support not-for-profits, social business, and impact-driven organizations in achieving their missions more effectively and make more impact!

Believing in the importance of sustainability, we’ve also planted over 3,000 trees through our partnership with Ecologi.

Matt is also a proud Ambassador of the Sunshine Coast Young Chamber of Commerce.
